Sub: Regarding delegation of powers of revision to the Heads of Circles (otherthan
the Heads of Circles of Senior Administrative Grade) under Rule 29 Sub - rule
(1) of clause (VI) of the CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965. *issue of clarification- regarding

I am directed to refer to this office letter of even number dated t7-07-20L2
under which clarification was issued with respect to the Gazette notification dated
tB.4:2012 published in the weekly Gazette of India on 28.4.2012 in Part iI -
Section 3 -Sub section (ii) as SO 1441
2, In supersession to the earlier clarification issued vide Directorate letter of
even number dated t7-7^2AL2, it is now clarified that the Heads of the Circles
(other than the Chief Postmaster General of Senior Administrative Grade) may
exercise the powers of revision under Rule 29 (1) (vi) of the CCS (CCA) Rules 1965
as under:
(i)Suo-Moto revision may be carried out the order proposed to be revised.
(ii) If a Govt. servant prefers a revision the date of receipt of the order sought by the HOC within six months of petition within six months from to be revised.? This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority
