India Post to accept Mescoms' additional security deposit
Mangaluru: India Post, in a move that will benefit customers of Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (Mescom) Ltd, has decided to accept additional security deposits of Mescom from firms, individuals in all of its post offices, branch post offices under the jurisdiction of Mangaluru postal division from June 24.
Hitherto, India Post was accepting only electricity bills of Mescom at all post offices in the division, senior superintendent of post offices (SSPO) stated.
Additional security deposit in cash only pertaining to Mescom's Attavar, Kavoor, (Nehru) Maidan, Surathkal, Ullal, Mannagudda, Kaikamba, Kinnigoli, Mulki, Moodbidri, Bantwal, Karkala and Bykampady sub-divisions will be accepted at the post/branch offices in the division, the SSPO said, urging customers of Mescom to make use of this facility.
Mangaluru division of Indian post has a total of 53 post offices and 96 branch offices, M Jagadish Pai, SSPO, added.
