INTUC Dist.Secretary Khammam & NUGDS Telangana Circle Treasurer Sri.CH.Koteswara Rao today met Dr.Sanjeeva Reddy ,President INTUC at Hyderabad.
He submitted a Memorandum to Hon'ble President INTUC regarding amendments in GDS Conduct & Engagement Rules,2011.
He requested Hon'ble President INTUC for his kind recommendation to Department of Posts and Ministry ofin achieving Civil Servant Status by amending the GDS Conduct & Engagement Rules,2011 which are non statuorary, illegal and unconstitutional, particularly Rule 3A (i) i.e; no GDS are allowed to perform their duties beyond 5 hours ( as already Supreme Court of India in the landmark judgement of PK Rajamma vs Supdt.of Post offices in 1977 declared these GDS posts are “Civil Posts” but not implemented till date ) and also to implement all the positive recommendations of Kamalesh Chandra Committee to all Gramin Dak Sevaks.
