National Unions Legal Cell for GDS : Core Committee.

You are aware that of late the Gramin Dak Sevaks all over the country in general and AP & Telangana circles in particular are facing innumurable problem and subjrcted to unbearable pressure and made to work round the clock though GDS shall not be required to work for more than 5 hours as per GDS Conduct & Engagement Rules,2011. Practically all of us are working for 8 to 10 hours daily. We are not compensated for the extra work done. Inspite of best efforts put in by us , the Administration is not responding positively.It has therefore been decided to go to CAT to get our problem solved legally.

We are happy to inform you all that legal committee comprising of the following members for both Andhra Pradesh & Telangana has been constituted today with the following members.

Core Committee :

1. Sri.D.Kishan Rao Ex.SG FNPO , EX.GS NAPE Gc & Member NC(JCM)

2. Sri. Sivaji Vasireddy

CS NAPE Gc AP circle & GS NAPE Gc

3. CH.Koteswara Rao

CS NUGDS TS Circle

4. CH.Laxmi Narayana

CS NUGDS AP Circle.

Hence forth the committee will attend to the issues mainly relating to disciplinary matters, compassionate appointments and any other service matters relating to GDS in both the circles.

All members are requested to note and bring the problem if any relating to the above subjects.The committee will guide the concerned as per rules.

In addition to this we are filing cases in the CAT, Hyderabad on the following matters.

1. Consideration of previous rejected compassionate engagements to the dependents of deceased GDS : Favourable Judgement alredy delivered.

2.  Implementation of GDS Committee w.e.f.1.1.2016 i.e, New wage scales, increment 3% and Arrears recalculation.

3. Enhancement of GDS Gratuity to 5 lakhs.

4. Grant of weightage to seniors : Seniority increment

5. Equal pay for equal work : GDS who are working beyond 5 hours will be paid on prorata basis.

6. PA Recruitment Rules : Enhance maximum age limit ,Separate quota, RMS sorting assistant posts.

7. Consideration of SSP, MGNREGS work in the workload assessment of GDSBPMs.

8. Abnormal delay in granting incentives in r/o MGNREGS.

9. Irregular limited transfer guidelines issued recently.

10. Irregular reduction from level-2 to level-1 in some divisions.

In order to process, file and fight out the cases to bring them to logical end, we have to incurve huge expenditure. Individuals cannot bear such expenditure.

It is therefore decided to create legal fund to wage the legal battle till the end, if necessary by knocking the doors of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. All members are therefore requested to donate liberally and assist the union. A joint SB account will be opened and informed to you all. Members of the Committee will also intimated shortly.

All are requested to coopetate in fighting the legal battle and strengthen union financially.
